At Portland Remodeling Company, llc, we work with the architects as they handle the design portion of the project, transforming the visions that clients have in their mind and turning them into designs on paper for all to see. Working with an architect gives us a clear direction and plan so that we can make your vision a reality. If our client doesn’t have an architect already, there are several firms Living Green Remodeling can recommend, but we’re always eager to collaborate with new firms as well.
At what stage does Living Green Remodeling become involved in the project?
Our goal is to become part of the team early in the process. Working as a team, we partner up with you and an architect (either selected by you or recommended by us) at the onset of the design phase. We can all collaborate to fully understand your vision and work toward the same goals. Involving the architect and the builder early in the process also keeps your design in line with the budget and helps expedite the building process.

In addition to maintaining the daily production and ensuring the quality of your project, our experienced managers will be your primary point of contact. Keeping an open line of communication, the PMs are always available to answer any questions or address concerns or changes throughout the entire building process. We understand that the relationship between Project Manager and homeowner is a critical part of a successful project.
Does Living Green Remodeling recycle and reuse building materials and waste; and how?
Living Green Remodeling is committed to reducing waste and recycling as much as possible through all phases of our projects. We donate all usable items that are removed from the site to the local reclaim store. We keep as much construction material out of the trash as we can and take any general construction waste to one of the local recycles for sorting and proper recycling. Additionally, all concrete is brought to a concrete recycle for reuse.
What is the quality of the sub contractors Living Green Remodeling hires for my remodel?
We've built long term relationships with most of the sub-contractors we use. All are screened for proper licenses and insurance and they have signed contracts with Living Green Remodeling agreeing to our expectations. We believe that anyone, whether a sub-contractor, laborer or anyone else, working on our jobs is an extension of Living Green Remodeling and is therefore required to present themselves to the same standard we maintain. The homeowners’ Project Manager is on site supervising all sub-contractors to make certain our requirements are being followed. All work performed on a Living Green Remodeling project is covered by our personal warranty regardless of whether the work was done by a employee or a sub-contractor.
